My s10 cranks but won’t start. Put fuel to injectors for about 5 to 6 seconds of cranking. Replaced distributor, ecm, fuel pump, tps, cap rotor plugs wires.always does the same thing. If I put gas into throttle body it will start and stay running until I shut it off.

Check for a large vacuum leak.
Do a fuel flow test of the fuel injectors. If restricted it will cause this problem. Not enough to get it started, but enough to keep it running.
Have the fuel tested. High alcohol content will cause this problem. - July 12, 2020 at 4:34 pm #17071dennision coppGuest
2002 Chevy s-10 4.3L. I have changed fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator and injectors, crank position sensor and check the fuel pressure and it still won’t start. it will however try to run if you choke off the throttle body completely. I am tired of working on it can someone please help me?
