I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand AM 2.4L ENGINE. The water pump has a leak and I am in the process of trying to replace it. With this car, the water pump is in the back, I have to take out the exhaust system and everything. One of the bolts is stuck, one near the timing chain and cover. I do not want to wreck anything, any advice?

Those pumps are difficult to replace, and quite a bit of items have to come off to do the job. If you’ve got frozen bolts, you’re just going to have to try and work with them to get them loose. Try a good penetrating oil first, and if that doesn’t work, you can always try some heat. Be careful with a torch in that area, though, as you can melt important parts.
